Even though Jesse and I got engaged in January (1/17/11), I'm just now beginning the planning! Quite honestly the engagement came at an overwhelming time - 3 jobs, grad school, graduating, moving, etc.
Anyways, it's finally time to begin the planning! Luckily, I'm a simple girl and I don't have any desire for a huge wedding. I'm hoping I can have stress-free, simple wedding.
So here's what's been decided:
We have, of course, decided to get married at Geneva-on-the-Lake, OH, Jesse's hometown and the place we met. On September 29, 2012 we will have a small, intimate wedding ceremony and reception. The following weekend on October 6, we will host a backyard reception for all of our friends at Allen Court Cottages, Jesse's family business. Jesse's mother and father were married on Allen's beach and it means so much for us to celebrate our marriage there.
Well, the planning has just begun but I feel like I am already on my way to a relaxing wedding. My wonderful sister-in-law Gerri is serving as my wedding planner extraordinaire! She is amazingly talented and oh, so patient! With her help and the support and love of all of you, I have faith that this wedding will go off without a hitch :) Fingers crossed!!
